Let’s see if I can come up with a clever name for the podcast series. I’m joined this week by Mark Babbitt and singer/songwriter Scott Ryan.

Each episode, I’ll introduce a new contest (which I’ve given the very stupid name “pondtest” {podcast + contest}) and give you a chance to win free music and other cool stuff. I want to be able to announce a winner on the first episode, which means I gotta give you guys the details of this week’s pondtest RIGHT NOW!

Anyone who knows me well knows that if I hear a song I like, I absolutely MUST find out the title/artist, or else I can’t sleep at night. There have been a few times, however, that I wasn’t successful in figuring it out, no matter how much I Googled/Shazamed/Midomi’d, etc. Here’s where you come in.

The first person to send me the correct song title/artist, based on the lyric segment below, will win a download code good for a joelcathey.com mp3 album of your choice.

The lyric segment is something like:

It’s a slow, kinda avant-garde song with reverbed piano and guitar and a mumbled female singer.
